Thirteen stabbed in terrorist attack inside a bus in Tel Aviv
The attack took place on a bus travelling during rush hour in the morning. The perpetrator of the attack, the twenty two year old Hamza Muhammed Hassan Matrouk, from the West Bank, was shot and apprehended while trying to get away. At the time of writing this post, eight people are still hospitalized, two of them are in critical condition- including the bus driver.
In response to the attack Prime minister Netanyahu blamed Abbas and the Hamas both for inciting the Palestinian people to act against Israel. PLO officials denied those allegations. The Hamas, on the other hand, praised the attack, with such words for example that Izzat al-Rishq, a member of Hamas’s political bureau based in Qatar,used to descrobe; “heroic and brave". Israeli MK's belonging to the opposition also responded to the attack- Issac Hertzog claimed that in Israel ""There is no sense of security today for the citizens of Israel, not in Jerusalem, not in communities bordering Gaza, and not in Tel Aviv".
